About

I'm Louis — a designer and frontend developer based in Manchester. I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2026 with a 2:1 BSc in Web and UX Design.

My work sits at the intersection of design and code. I care about making things that are genuinely usable — not just visually polished. That means doing the research, understanding the users, and then building something that actually holds up.

I've worked freelance since 2023, building and maintaining websites for real clients with real users. My main client is Knowles Green, a boutique wine and cheese shop in Bollington, Cheshire — a project I've owned end-to-end across design, development, and ongoing maintenance. I've since delivered live sites for Lou Holden, Katie Grimwood, and The Handkerchief Tree.

From May to August 2026 I worked remotely as a UX/UI Designer at EcomLanders, designing high-converting e-commerce landing pages and product detail pages in Figma — working inside an established design system and handling developer handoff for a cross-functional team.

Before that, I spent eight months at Knight Knox as Email & Landing Page Developer (January to August 2026), building 8–10 responsive landing pages a month and getting real experience of working within a team and hitting production deadlines at pace.

Outside of work I run — training for a sub-4 marathon — and regularly use the gym.
