About

I'm Louis — a designer and frontend developer based in Manchester, finishing a BSc in Web and UX Design at Manchester Metropolitan University.

My work sits at the intersection of design and code. I care about making things that are genuinely usable — not just visually polished. That means doing the research, understanding the users, and then building something that actually holds up.

I've worked freelance since 2023, building and maintaining websites for real clients with real users. My main client is Knowles Green, a boutique wine and cheese shop in Bollington, Cheshire — a project I've owned end-to-end across design, development, and ongoing maintenance.

Alongside freelance work, I've been Email & Landing Page Developer at Knight Knox, giving me experience of working within a team and hitting production deadlines at pace.

Outside of work I run — training for a sub-4 marathon — and regularly use the gym.
